Meeting Minutes
Posted on February 29, 2004 in UncategorizedMeeting Minutes for Day 28 of Summer, Year 553
Present: Ayella, Dathanja, Elrohir, Fleming, Idril Verbena, Lundar, Mouser, Sasha, Vequalir, Yazza, Zeitgeist
Guests: Cyan & Treebeard
The following are the events which were discussed around the campfire this moon:
Skirt Recipe Recovered
Yazza informed us that she has relearned the propper combination for making a matching skirt(which she had forgotten) with the help of her friend Noi(?). Now, all Yazza needs to do is save up 4100 coins so that she can buy the berries!
Idril Passes 2nd Circle
Idril Verbena announced that she has passed the second circle healer test! She now sports a lovely white skirt, and has learned how to make red healing potions. She credits Dathanja’s shield for giving her the necessary edge to pass the test.
Sasha’s Ramblings
Sasha claimed that Ayella loves her, even though she doesn’t admit it. She also let us know that Afton sends us his regards, and that he will hopefully rejoin us at our meetings soon.
Gungla Discovery
There was much discussion of Ayella’s discovery of the river crossing on Gungla Island, and the recently discovered land of Sarra. This eventually led to our disasterous hunt in Sarra, which I will relate below.
Gold Moon
Vequalir told us that he has spoken with our ex-clanmate Gold Moon, and that she expressed some interest in rejoining ELF. Please look out for her in the lands, and invite her to attend one of our clan meetings.
Aime’s Training
Yazza passed on a message to us from our Hopeful Counselor Aime Noi’thar, who wants us to know that he has reached 150 lessons with Skea Brightfur. Aime would like us to take him coin hunting, to help refill our clan coffers.
Limmerick
Finally, I shared a limmerick with my clanmates which I was inspired to write the other day:
Ayella, mistress of the Chord,
And bane of the foul Darshak Horde.
A trickster was she–
With unabashed glee,
She’d make poor men ponder: “F’nord.”
The Hunt
For this moon’s hunt we visited the Gungla Desert, where we had a chance to both explore and hunt in the new area. We had a great time hunting the Lesser Sand Wurms, and a number of our fighters got to visit the cave of the Shieldstone maker. Strangely, the Earth Wyrm cave was completely empty when we stopped by, but it was otherwise good hunting.
Afterwards, however, some of our number got it into their crazy heads that they wanted to visit the Land of Sarra. Our party was nowhere near enough to handle the area, so we recruited the strongest healers and fighters that we could find.
Our party did well at first, and we were able to secure the entrance snell. However, as we moved northwards, things fell apart. Our party was soon all fallen. A number of rescue attempts were made, but these just resulted in more fallens exiles. In the end were all forced to depart. A disapointing end, to and otherwise great hunt.
Awww, I love my limerick!
And don’t *all* proper ELF hunts end up with all involved on their backs? We were just doing our civic duties.
It just isn’t an ELF hunt until everyone falls… 😉
Too bad I couldn’t come! Next time, next time…
