Path Gazing

Day 28, Year 548

Staring at the Path

Today I got to be a part of an expedition to Alchemist’s Folley
organized by the mystic Neige. Our party gathered in the undine hut
roughly 2 hours before midnight, then made our way through the narrow
passage leading into the caverns. We had little difficulty getting
through the narrow entry way, thanks to the fighting prowess of Kojiro
and the healing powers of Dandelion, Tonto, and Prue.

The rest of the cavern was a breeze for our party, and we made it to the unopennable path
in no time. Unfortunately, none of our party’s 7 full pathfinders was
able to open the path. I was unable to even *see* the path, despite
this being my third visit to the path in recent months. After staring
at the path for an hour or so, most of us returned to town, though
Kiriel and Prue remained to stare at the path a while longer.

This was certainly a disapointing expedition for our party, but
we’ve renewed our commitments to get this path open one way or another.
I am seriously considering bringing along as many as 20 full pfs for
our next expedition into AF. Surely, with that many pfs, at least one
of us will be able to open the path!
