Day 76, Year 542 of the Ascendancy<\/font><\/b><\/font><\/p>\n

* An ominous presence fills the sky.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nAround midnight on the 61st day of Winter, a
\nstrange presence was sensed by the mystics in the lands. Soon after, a
\nFire Drake appeared in town, and began scorching exiles with it’s
\npowerful breath! Since most of the powerful exiles in the lands were
\nconducting a rescue in the newly discovered Valley, there were no
\nexiles in town that could stand up to the might of the Fire Drake.
\nAfter town was filled with smoldering corpses, the Fire Drake appeared
\nsatisfied. However, what happened next surprised anyone. After toasting
\neverybody, the Fire Drake grabbed onto the still smoking corpses of
\nMace Windu and Xaerus, and took flight!
<\/font><\/p>\n


\n<\/font><\/p>\n

\nAs soon as the Drake rose into the air, he started
\nto slowly glide towards the west. The fallen exiles in town were
\nquickly raised, and soon, everybody was following the Drake, and the
\nfallen exiles. Soon, the Drake flew out of town, and reached the docks.
\nHere, the healers were able to use their cads to raise the fallen
\nXaerus(who landed on the ground with a thud), but the Drake, carrying
\nMace Windu, flew clear over the ocean. The bewildered exiles rented
\nthemselves boats, and followed.<\/font><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

<\/font><\/p>\n

\nThe Drake flew forth from Puddleby, and headed
\nwestwards, with exiles in tow. Here, the healers were able to rescue
\nthe other captive, Mace Windu, and shaken Fen was put aboard a boat, a
\nferried off to Puddleby. The Drake did not really seem to notice, and
\nhe kept on flying until he reached Devil’s Island. Here, the Drake
\npaused for a bit, then flew onto the northern end of the island. Again,
\nthe exiles followed.<\/font><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

<\/font><\/p>\n

\nThe Drake flew at a leisurely pace southwards,
\nflying over hot beaches and tree-filled forests with ease, while the
\nexiles followed with some difficulty. Finally, the Drake flew over the
\nmountains of snell E2(according to my map)
\nand disapeared. Now, the exiles were puzzled as to where the Drake had
\ndisapeared off to. All of the captives of the Drake had been saved, so
\nthere were no rescues that needed to be conducted, but still, they were
\ncurious. So, led by the dwarf Nunnul, the party headed off to the Lava
\nCave on Devil’s Isle. There, they were massacred.<\/font><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

<\/font><\/p>\n

\nThe cave was filled with all manner of creatures,
\nincluding Deadly Adders, Fire Rats, Blood Hawks, and more. Luckily for
\nthe party, there were no Lava Walkers present in the cave, but the
\nparty was massacred anyway. However, reinforcements arrived soon
\nenough, and the fallen exiles were chained out, and healed up.
\nAfterwards, the whole mass of exiles entered the Lava Cave once more,
\nand cleared the place of all the foul critters. However, the Fire Drake
\nwas nowhere to be seen.<\/font><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

<\/font><\/p>\n

\nThe exiles healed up once more, and left Devil’s
\nIsland, and thus ended the adventure with the Fire Drake. However,
\nthere still remain many questions to be answered. Why did the Fire
\nDrake kidnap exilesin the first place, and where did the Fire Drake
\ndisapear off to? I have not the answers to these questions, but my
\nspeculation is that the Fire Drake flew into the Crater or perhaps to
\nthe Drake Den rumored to exist somewhere upon the isle. As to what
\nsinister purpose the Drake wanted the exiles for, I know not. Probably
\nnot for food I would think, but who knows? Anyway, as I’ve said before,
\nit’s about time that I explored Devil’s Isle once more. And if ever a
\nFire Drake were to appear in town again, and it’s claws happened to
\nlatch on to me, I would gladly go with the Fire Drake, and see where it
\nwould take me.<\/font><\/p>\n
