Day 177, Year 547 of the Ascendancy<\/font><\/b>

\nToday I stepped out of the library to find myself in the midst of a
\nMyrm Invasion. Giant myrms terrorized all parts of our fair town, from
\nthe northern farms to the southern gate.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nThis, I later learned, was only the conclusion to
\na lengthy myrm invasion which began hours before I first stepped out of
\nthe library. According to Farhope, who witnessed the invasion from the
\nstart, the attack began when a small tunnel opened up to the south-east
\nof town center.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nFrom out of the tunnel poured forth progressively
\npowerful myrms, first Warriors, then Nobles, then Royals and Fire
\nMyrms, while the Myrmtarr<\/u><\/a>
\ntaunted exiles over the sunstone. After a firece battle in town, the
\nexiles stormed the Hive, and fought another massive battle in the Queen
\nChamber.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nThe exiles then fought their way out of the Hive,
\nonly to find that town had been invaded once again, under the command
\nof the Myrm Empress.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nThe myrm forces in town were comprised of the
\nfirey Fire Myrms and the vicious Irritated Myrms. The myrms were led by
\na powerful Myrm Empress, which felled most exiles with a single blow
\nfrom its powerful mandibles.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nIt took nearly two hours to bring down the Myrm
\nEmpress, and it took several more hours to rid the town of all of the
\nmyrm forces. The last I heard, there were still Fire Myrms and
\nIrritated Myrms fiercely guarding the Hive.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nAll in all, it was quite a fierce and exciting
\ninvasion, and it makes me wonder what could have instigated the myrm’s
\nattack against Puddleby. Possibly the invasion was in response to
\nUndrus’ construction of the tunnels under Puddleby, which are almost
\nnearing construction.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nWhatever their reasons, the myrm have clearly proven today that they are still a dangerous foe to Puddleby.
