Day 105, Year 547 of the Ascendancy<\/font><\/b><\/font><\/p>\n

\nToday I stepped out of the library to find myself in the midst of what
\nwould grow to become one of the biggest Darshak Invasions ever to
\nmenace Puddleby.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nThe invasion started off benignly enough with the
\nappearance of a pair of Darshak Scouts, followed by a raiding party
\ncomprised of Thugs, Sailors, Marines, and Blades, led by a Darshak
\nCaptain. Darshak Acolytes and Necromancers appeared as well, to give
\nthe invaders magical assistance.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nThis initial force of Darshak was easily defeated,
\nbut wave after wave of Darshak poured forth from their foul Warships,
\nalong with several “elite” Darshak. We were able to hold the Darshak at
\nthe west gate for a while, but when the Darshak Necromancers destroyed
\nour kudzu wall with their unholy fire, we were forced to retreat back
\nto Puddleby.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nAfter two hours or so of intense fighting, we
\nmanaged to push back most of the Darshak from our shores, and took the
\nfight to the ocean. This turned out to be a big mistake.<\/font><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

<\/font><\/p>\n

\nThe ocean was swarming with the rowboats of
\nDarshak pirates, along with no less than 5 Darshak Warships, including
\nthe dreaded Darshak Corsair. Those of us who tried to face the Darshak
\non the water soon found ourselves floating in our uppened boats, at the
\nmercy of the fickle currents.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nI soon found myself in the company of these
\nderelict ships, and we floated around for nearly 6 hours while the rest
\nof Puddleby fought desparately to fend the Darshak off from established
\nbeachheads on Centaur and Ash Island.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nWhen we were finally rescued, we helped to finish
\noff the last of the Darshak pirates that menaced the ocean. We also
\ntook the time to kill off the remnants of Darshak that hid in the
\nwaters of Kizmia’s Isle and the Ash Island Cove. That done, we were
\ncontent that we had rid ourselves of the Darshak menace.<\/font><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

<\/font><\/p>\n

\nHowever, later that day when I returned to Ash
\nIsland with my clan ELF, we found that Ash Island still teemed with the
\narmies of Darshak pirates. We decided to take the battle to these
\nDarshak, but on our way to the Darshak Outpost, I managed to slip into
\nthe the Darshak Horde.<\/font><\/p>\n

\nA massive rescue ensued, and dozens of exiles
\nbattled against the horde of elite Darshak and Necromancers. The rescue
\ntook a long time, but in the end we were all rescued, after several
\nattempts.<\/font><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

<\/font><\/p>\n

\nThe last of the Darshak was slain shortly before
\nmidnight, and we were all rewarded for our bravery and compassion. All
\ntold, it was more than half a day of intense fighting against the
\nDarshak. Hopefully our efforts today will deter the Darshak from any
\nfurther invasions in the near future.
