{"id":662,"date":"2001-08-05T17:07:15","date_gmt":"2001-08-06T00:07:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.puddleby.com\/lundar\/?p=662"},"modified":"2001-08-05T17:07:15","modified_gmt":"2001-08-06T00:07:15","slug":"death-in-ash-valley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/puddleby.com\/lundar\/2001\/08\/death-in-ash-valley\/","title":{"rendered":"Death in Ash Valley"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><font>Day 330, Year 542 of the Ascendancy<\/font><\/b><font><\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.puddleby.com\/lundar-files\/img\/330-542.gif\" height=\"358\" width=\"350\"><\/p>\n<p>\n<font><br \/>\nWell, LIFE&#8217;s Foothills expedition was cut short today, when our<br \/>\nexpedition&#8217;s two shovel holders went into the Ash Valley, and got<br \/>\nkilled past healing. We still had a large number of people camped out<br \/>\nat the base of Ash Valley, including powerful exiles as Yor and Urgelt,<br \/>\nbut it was decided that the expedition would go no where without the<br \/>\nshovels. So, Yor and Urgelt went into the Ash Valley to rescue our<br \/>\nshovel. And fell. At this point, it was decided that the only chance<br \/>\nfor the expedition to continue, was to chain out the fallen exiles out<br \/>\nof the Ash Valley. Unfortunately, our whole party got killed doing just<br \/>\nthat. Thus, everyone was forced to depart or pendant out from the<br \/>\nFoothills.<\/font><\/p>\n<p>\n<font>Our expedition wasn&#8217;t a total failure, however.<br \/>\nBefore we fell, Soulmaster and I were able to use our skristals to<br \/>\nlearn interesting things about the structure of the Foothills. We also<br \/>\nlearned some valuable lessons from the expedition, and and grew closer<br \/>\nto working together as a team. Yor&#8217;s idea to camp out in the east end<br \/>\nof the Foothills also proved to be a great idea, and we got a lot of<br \/>\nexploring done, before the unfortunate events in the Ash Valley. I am<br \/>\nconfident that our group will do better next time. Departing early from<br \/>\nthe Foothills gave me the opportunity to attend my clan meeting though,<br \/>\nand I also got to do a lot of work on my Devil&#8217;s Isle map. Best of all,<br \/>\nI made close to 200 coins in the Foothills, so I no longer have to<br \/>\nsleep in the cheap library.
