What's with you and the undine?
They
are my children. I am their mother. I feel strongly connected to all
undine, even those under the oppression of the Darshak. Through the rite of communion, I work to strengthen my bond to them, so that they may be freed from the Darshak, and rise up and destroy the Theocracy.
I am protective of my children, especially within the sanctuary. I do not look kindly upon those who enter the sanctuary seeking to hurt my children. Those who violate the sanctuary will often invite the wrath of Nemesis upon them. |

Why don't you heal males?
During the rite of purification, I can neither heal a male, or be healed by one. The only exception to this is kin, and I have but two male kin in the lands, Lilim and Elenis Reyev.
|
Do you hate males? | |
No, of course not. I am betrothed to one! I aid and assist all exiles, regardless of gender, as best I can.
|
Why wouldn't you let me heal you? Why do you depart when people try to heal you? |
|
During the rite of purification, not only cannot I not heal males, I cannot be healed by them. If I have fallen, and a male healer begins to heal me, I must depart. I have departed over a hundred times, if you were wondering...

What is the Dark Grimoire? What is the Matre Nocticon? |
|
The Dark Grimoire you may see me carrying aorund the lands is a very ancient copy of the Matre Nocticon, the holy book of the Nox Sorora. I liberated this copy from the Darshak on Ash, who have quite a stockpile of stolen Nox Sorora histories, journals and works. Perhaps you'd like to see some translations I've been working on...

What is on the pendant you wear? What did you teach Algernon to draw? |
||
|
Here is the symbol on the pendant I wear, and it is worn by all Nox Sorora. It is the symbol of the Goddess. I taught Algernon to draw it as well.
|
What is the Nox Sorora? | |
The Nox Sorora is an ancient sisterhood dedicated to serving the will of the Goddess, and bringing in Her new age. The Nox Sorora has been scattered due to a century old campaign of the Darshak, and the intolerance of the Emperor. Between these two forces, the Nox Sorora is but a shadow of what it what once was. There is much I could tell you of the Nox Sorora...
|
How did you become Nox Sorora?
During my captivity on Ash, I managed to gain access to the private library of a powerful necromancer. It was there I found an ancient copy of the Matre Nocticon, the sacred text of the Nox Sorora. From this, and the histories I found in the library, I learned about the Nox Sorora and their rites. I eventually gained the materials I needed to perform the initiation, and I did a very risky thing, I initiated myself. You see, the rite of initiation, the First Sacrament, is dangerous, and to do it while a captive of the Darshak even more so!
|
Who else is Nox Sorora? | |
Sister Ripley and Matre Naamah are the other current Nox Sorora in Puddleby.
There are also some sisters studying to take the First Vow, the first step in entering the Nox Sorora. We also have several exiles in the Gens Dea. We have been working to get a builder to undertake a Chapterhouse in Puddleby. |
|
|
What is the Gens Dea? | |
The Gens Dea are those who follow the Goddess, but are not Nox Sorora. Both males and females can become Gens Dea. If you hear the calling of the Goddess, and are ready to make a commitment to serve her and to aid the Nox Sorora, you should come speak to one of us. We will be happy to aid you.

What is the rite of purification?
It
is a rite that helps me with my other works. In order to best maintain
my focus, and feel most connected to the Goddess, I must be pure from
the taint of Leviathan, whose essence is in all male things.
The rite goes from the full moon to the new moon usually. However, I have been doing it continiously since it helps me so much. |
|
|
What or who is Leviathan?
Leviathan is deceiver and despoiler, the first child of the Goddess, who turned on his Mother for his own glory. Perhaps you should examine my translations of the Matre Nocticon.
|
Who is Malachi? | |
Malachi is an agent of the Darshak, sent here to try to get the Matre Nocticon, and to disrupt my work. He tried, unsuccessfully, to turn the citizens of Puddleby against me with a forged visionstone.
|
Who is the Dark Lord? | |
The Dark Lord is a fiction from the forged visionstone that Malachi gave Michael Aridfox. I don't worship a "Dark Lord". I've never heard of such nonsense.
|
What is with that visionstone of you in the undine cave, saying all those evil things?
This visionstone was given to Michael Aridfox by Malachi. It's a forgery, pure and simple. It is possible to enchant a visionstone so that words and deeds are changed. To prove that a visionstone is corruptible, I produced a sample visionstone. It's quite amusing, actually.

What's your relationship with Xantcha?
I am glad to call Sister Xantcha a good friend.
|
What's your relationship with the Darshak?
I despise them... (More soon).
|
How'd you get to Puddleby?
That's a long story... (coming soon.)
|
Why didn't you answer my question when I saw you?
Was
I talking to someone else? If I am talking to someone else, please be
patient. I don't like to have multiple convesations going on at once. Was I in the middle of a rite? If I am in the sanctuary performing a rite, I will not be interested in having a conversation. You can let me know you wish to speak, and when I am done with the rite, I will sunstone you so we may talk somewhere more appropriate. Was in the middle of town? Someone questions might be somewhat sensitive in nature, and I may not want to address them in a public place. Try asking the question in a more discreet venue. Did you ask an out-of-character question? I prefer to conduct out-of-character business by enchanted mail, but if there is a pressing need for an out-of-character discussion in the lands, I insist on doing it somewhere private. |
|
|
I sunstoned you, but you didn't respond. Why?
During many rites, I cannot use my sunstone, so perhaps I was busy when you sunstoned me. Also, if the question is hostile or beligerent, I'll ignore it.
|
Why do you have so much bad karma?
Many people disprove of the Nox Sorora, and begrudge me for my defense of my children, the undine.
