This is one of the earliest attempts of mapping the spheres. The ether has manifested into relative pathways since then and some of the best minds have come up with much more accurate representations.

All that was known at the time of this sketch was the ‘Brion Brother’s sections of the Ethereal Towers.

One moment stands out in my mind which leads up to Tenebrion’s demised:

Tenebrion thinks, “There is a ceremony which can be performed before dawn on a new moon day.”

Raldin and Callia had a conversation with Tenebrion just before he started performing experiments near his poppy field. This occurred in the Summer of 540, when Tenebrion was trying to find a connection between Purgatory and the Ethereal Plane. A few days later I was able to witness this.

Tenebrion thinks, “I am performing a dangerous experiment near my poppy field. Please avoid that area for the time being.”
* You feel a steady flow of ether towards the portals.”
* The flow of ether is like a wind through your mind as it pours into the portals.
Tenebrion thinks, “Hmmm. Very interesting. I have finished my experiment. Outside my poppy field is safe once more.”

Ultimately, Tenebrion’s experiment worked and he was able to reach the Annulus. This however is not without consequence. An encoded message was received by scholars and deciphered.

The annulus is beginning to arrive.
As the annulus penetrates the ethereal spheres it will gain power.

If walked improperly the annulus can entirely erase a mind.

Only the tip of the annulus may be walked without risking permanent damage.

I no longer believe the annulus may be used to allow us to travel where we need.

What is an Annulus?

“Properly speaking, the Annulus is the area between two impassable circular barriers in the center of the sector. A rift in the outer barrier draws things into the Annulus, with variable effects.”

Mystics have been contacted by Tenebrion telepathically and we have pieced together his message, though we are missing fragments.

Among the Moon’s second children were the ancients

The third children were made by the sun earth and moon

One of the remaining ancients looked at the Sylvans and Dwarves of the second children and the Humans, Thooms and the People of the third children and saw that they were too perfect

He formed six daughters for himself from the shadows

The daughters he named Ash, Mirvi, Jaloh, Badosmi, Pelma, and Tanjah
He fashioned them as the embodiments of extravagance, greed, sloth, wrath,envy, and ignorance

He instructed his daughters to go forth and seduce the races
One of his peers learned of the plan to corrupt the races

Before the daughters could complete their seduction, but too late to prevent them from sowing their seeds, she met them in battle

She shaped six items from the light to assist her in battling the daughters

The battle lasted a full passing of a zodiac

When the she defeated the daughters, the Sun, Moon, and Earth took them and imprisoned them in the heavens with the elder ancients

-he took the items -she had fashioned and hid them on the ethereal plane

Twelve of them remained when the rest were hung in the heavens as stars

The Sun, Moon, and Earth warned the twelve remaining ancients that the iro[FRAGMENT MISSING]

She feared the twelve remaining ancients would be hung in the heavens as well

She feared retribution from the Sun and Earth if they discovered the daughters

A clear understanding of our universe needs to come about before anything can be done. Tenebrion has ascended although his physical body remains. I only hope that his will to return is strong enough. The memories of nature and the world of thought are lost to him. I hope he finds what he seeks…

Plans have been made to rescue Tenebrion, but our understanding of the Ethereal Spheres is still limited. One attempt by Puddleby was recounted by a Thoomish Healer.

The group was divided because that was the only way we could see to take the annulus.

Both sides had sufficient forces to tackle the challenges that we foresaw when enacting the plan. If things went according to plan, the TI team would have only had to clear one difficult snell, and it would be very lureable. While the EP team would have several of the toughest snells in EP to go through.

The plan didn’t fail, it was subverted by the Darshak.

I have the strong suspicion that someone sold us out to the Darshak, both causing us to fail and preventing us from repairing the damage the Darshak have caused to the Ethereal Plan and to Tenebrion’s Island.
